For four transformative days, we'll gather in a magical garden and Art Studio designed to nurture your creative awakening in Encinitas, California, where the ocean breeze carries whispers of possibility and the flowers hold the next steps for your transformation.
This is a homecoming into your inner sacred garden that you carry within, the one where your deepest visions take root and your wildest dreams begin to bloom.

The Center’s 1.5 acres include a fully-equipped Craftsman-style art studio and relaxed, informal meeting spaces, meadows of flowers and scented shrubs, a fruit orchard, a garden labyrinth, and a short canyon walking trail. Native and exotic plants flourish along meandering paths. Meditation benches provide privacy for reflection and expansive views of Southern California’s coastal hills.

More About Your Guide…
Alexis Cohen is the founder of Art Medicine, LLC, Visionary Artist, Art Medicine Practitioner and Film Producer. Alexis helps purpose-driven creatives interweave healing, self-expression and spiritual connection into their practices and businesses.
Alexis brings over a decade of experience as a birth doula into her current Art Medicine and mentorship practice. Having supported nearly 300 souls entering this world, she has witnessed the courage of the human spirit passing through intense thresholds of change.
This work honed Alexis' ability to hold compassionate space for transformative initiations. She now applies that skill in guiding purpose-driven creatives through their artistic and professional births and rebirths.
Alexis believes that sacred medicine lives inside us all.
Her forthcoming feature film that she is co-producing with her writer/director husband, Brent, infused with mysticism and meaning, represents Alexis’ latest creative dream brought to life.

What do we do each day?
Our days will also include an opening and closing ceremony, including gentle movement to get our creative juices flowing and guided visualization. In the morning sessions Alexis will guide you through a unique portal painting process, followed by a delicious lunch and then the afternoon sessions will be filled with several different healing and transformational art processes and workshops. And you get to do this for 4 juicy days straight with plenty of time in the mornings and evenings to explore the area and beaches!Do I need experience?
Not at all. These processes meet you exactly where you are on your creative journey. This is a very loving and non judgmental space designed to spark your next level of inspiration, healing and guidance.What kind of art will we be making?
You will leave here with a bouquet of new creative work that will continue to heal and transform you on a deep level well after the retreat. You’ll work on a variety of pieces with Alexis including a very accessible series or mini portals that awaken your imagination and vision, supporting you to expand past any pesky creative obstacles. And a garden variety of signature transformational and creative workshops lead by beloved Certified Art Medicine Practitioners.Why are you hosting this gathering now?
I’ve wanted to do a community gathering like this for a while and the energy of it has been building and the bud is ready to bloom! Last year I did several mini retreats with 6 folks at a time- they were so wonderful and the vision of more of us gathering at once has been humming. The Art Medicine Community is such a wonderful sanctuary with many of its members connecting mostly online- which is awesome and I’m so grateful that we have this technology. And…when we are together IN PERSON there is a next level of power and magic and collaboration that wakes up! And we need this in our lives individually and collectively more than ever. So if you’re feeling this call- please answer it.
